Hop To It!

Just this week at work, one of my co-workers said that they needed something in their cube that said "Spring" . . . I kind of took that as a personal challenge to make something.

I cut a tag shape from the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge, and I smudged the edge of it with yellow ink.

Then I stamped this cute little bunny on it, from the Blue Moon Creations stamp set.  Not only does it have a cute bunny, but there are also cute phrases like the one I stamped on the back of the tag.

The paper for the back of the tag is cut from a bright green polka dot paper from the DCWV Honey Chic paper stack.  I like how some of the dots have a little glitter in them.

Then I added a little something extra to the back . . . more dots!  I save LOTS of the scraps that come out of other cuts . . . the centers of the 0 or O, or the round dots that come out of tags you cut . . . anything that I think "I might want to use that later".  Some people would call me a Paper Hoarder.

This is the little container that I keep all of the round "extra" cuts I have.

I started sorting through it and I found some dots in colors that coordinated with this tag, so I added them to various areas.  I also did a little faux stitching around the edge of the piece I stamped the sentiment on to.

Speaking of faux stitching . . . did you notice the blue circles behind the bunny that are done in a faux stitching line?  Those are from another Blue Moon Creations stamp set.  And of course, because I really like things that sparkle, I had to add some circles cut from the rhinestone sticker sheets from The Buckle Boutique. These circles are actually MORE negative cuts I saved from some rhinestone tags I cut.

If you liked any of the products I used, I have provided links to the companies below for you.
