Not only are the colors amazing and vivid, but the texture of this vinyl is so soft and it has a little bit of a fuzzy feel. That's right, I said it is fuzzy! It reminds me of the baby books that have images of animals with texture for the babies to touch.
Here you can see the fluorescent colors that I was playing with. I decided to use the orange, pink and yellow for a great springtime color combination.
For my design, I used a svg from one of my favorite sites, LoveSVG . . . HERE is a link to the exact svg that I used for this project. I did adjust the colors on the SVG to go with the colors of the Siser flocked vinyl.
To cut the Siser flocked vinyl, I used my Cricut Explore machine and had it set on Iron-on +
I placed the Siser StripFlock Pro on to my Cricut mat, with the shiny carrier side of the vinyl down on the mat. Make sure to flip or mirror your image since you are cutting from the back side of the vinyl.
After I cut all of the layers, I weeded the excess material away. This vinyl is a little thicker than a regular HTV due to the flocked texture, but once you get your weeding tool through the flocked vinyl it weeds so easily! I did find in that it was easier to poke my weeding tool in close to the corner of the piece and kind of slide it towards the corner of the vinyl to get it started.
This close up photo is so you can see the texture of the flocked vinyl. If you like the way it looks, wait until you touch it! I want to use this flocked vinyl on all of my personalized blankets from now on since it is so soft.
Since the pink bunny is in the center of the image, I started by pressing that layer on to the towel with my heat press. This allowed me to center the entire image more easily. The application instructions for the Siser StripFlock can be found HERE. I was able to line up and press both the yellow layer and the black at the same time, and then the orange was the last layer that I pressed.
Here is the finished project hanging on my oven, all ready to welcome in Spring! I could do a whole coordinating look with these bunnies for Easter . . . a banner or Welcome Spring sign, napkins, shirts, embellishments on Easter baskets.
What would you make with the Siser StripFlocked vinyl? Guess what . . . I have a way for you to win some vinyl!!!!
