Digital scrapbooking - book covers

Recently I told you about a Father's Day book I did with pictures of my daughter using the My Memories digital scrapbooking software.  It was great because I was able to create one book and then print it out for my husband, my father-in-law, my father and my grandfather, and I had a GREAT gift for all of them.  Here is the front and back cover from that book.

and here is the back cover for the book

I used the same main background paper for the front and the back of the book to give it a consistent look.  Since it was a Father's Day gift I wanted to make sure that I used papers and embellishments that were not too "girly" . . . the teal paper with the embossed pattern on it really pulled out the teal veins in the main background paper, and then those accents went perfect with the whole thing!

One thing I really like is that there are free kits that you can download.  I check the My Memories site every few weeks to see what new items have been added to the Free section and download anything that I like.  If I am not using it for a project NOW I might use it later, and you might as well get it while it is free.

Would you like to give digital scrapbooking a try?
If you use the code

you can get $10 off the My Memories software!
Just go to MyMemories.com to download the software and then you can start looking at the free kits and papers so that you can create your own digital scrapbooks too.
