My Mickey Mouse Car Decal

I am not sure why, but in recent years I have gotten really worried about trying something new with my crafts. I have seen other people making decals or shirts with images they cut with their Cricut. I would look at them and think how great they look, but for some reason I would not try making one of my own. I was worried I would not be able to get the fonts I downloaded to work, or that images I created would not cut out right.

So recently I had someone ask me on Facebook if I could make them a car decal.  I said I was willing to give it a try.  Well, theirs turned out so good that I made one for my car.  I love the way it turned out!

This was so easy to do!!!!  For mine, I used the image of Mickey's head from the Disney Mickey Font cartridge.  There is an option to cut just the outline/silhouette, which makes a nice frame.  Then I used the text function in Cricut Design Space™ to add the word Dream.  Once I had that positioned where I wanted it, I used a circle to slice out part of the Mickey Mouse icon so that the frame of Mickey starts and stops when it gets to the word Dream.

If you are in any Cricut crafting groups or Facebook pages, I am sure you have encountered conversations about which transfer tape is the best.  I am thrifty, and I did not want to invest a lot of money into transfer tape for doing one decal on my car, and one for the person that requested one from me on Facebook.  I had heard that some people use Glad Press and Seal for transfer tape so I figured I would give it a try.  It worked great!!!!

So, because this worked so well, I decided to add them to the inventory of items I have at my store.  You can check out my store by clicking HERE.

I also have a Facebook Page where I feature items I have created, called The Crafting Pixie.  You can like the page and follow me there, and let me know if there are items you are looking for.  Just click HERE to go to the Facebook page.

I am hoping to continue to add more car decals to the inventory of items I make.  Please let me know if there is something specific you are looking for and I can create a design and send you a preview.  Contacting me through The Crafting Pixie page is the easiest way to reach me.
