Ho Ho Ho card

Today I am sharing a cute little holiday card I made.

Supplies:
Sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" white card stock
Sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" red/burgundy card stock
Square rhinestone buckle/slide from The Buckle Boutique
Black ribbon
* I did not have plain black on hand, so I used a printed ribbon that was black on the back *

I started by cutting the white cardstock in half.  This gives me a base for two cards.

Using my Gypsy and the Christmas Cheer Cricut cartridge, I created the rectangle layer with Ho, Ho, Ho cut out of it.  You could do this in red, but I had some shimmery burgundy paper that I wanted to use for this project.  Make sure to save the circles that are cut out of the centers of the O's in this cut . . . you will need them in a few steps.

Before you attach the layer on to the card base, thread the black ribbon through the rhinestone buckle/slide and attach the ends to the back side of the rectangle.  If the size of the rhinestone slide does not match up perfectly with the ribbon you have, just gather the ribbon up a little to give it a cinched look.

Now attach that layer to the card base.  Grab the circles that were the centers of the O's and glue those back into the the cut.

There is also a smaller circle for the top of the ornament, but since that is SO TINY I used a burgundy colored pen to just make that little dot instead of trying to place that little tiny piece of paper.  Here is a close up so you can see the smaller dots I did with the pen.

And that is it!  Your card is done.
