It was my nephew's birthday last month, and I got a little behind on things and did not get his card and gift out in the mail to him.  I decided that since I was so slow, that a cute little slow moving turtle on the card would be appropriate.
I cut him using the Create A Critter 2 Cricut cartridge.  I received some samples of Rowlux Illusion Film that I picked up at CHA.  I had been waiting for JUST the right project to use this product on, and this little turtle seemed perfect!
I love the visual effect given off by the ripples and waves in the Illusion Film's surface.  Perfect for mimicking the texture of this turtle's shell.
I used a piece of blue cardstock that I embossed with my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder for part of the background on this card.
Here is another fun shot of the turtle . . . he is just so cute!
I added a bow from blue ribbon with green dots.  I used my Brilliant Bow Maker to make this perfect bow, and then I just glued it to the front of the card.
Bright and colorful . . . perfect for my nephew!
