This topic came up the other day, and I wanted to share some thoughts here . . . why are paper crafts so popular?
Paper crafts cover a HUGE variety of projects . . . card making, scrapbooking, home decor, party decorations, origami, coloring, paper mache and decoupage just to name a few. And within each of those categories there is a variety of skill levels so once you pick up one project you can learn the basics and then grow into an more advanced crafter. I think this is one of the things that holds people into a craft . . . when they can see successful projects at a basic level and then really develop a skill and grow.
When I am trying to come up with an idea for a new project, sometimes I will look on Pinterest, Facebook or other blogs for something that inspires me. Another great resource I have found is the website AllFreePaperCrafts.com They have collected paper craft projects from all over the internet into one nice location for you. If you sign up for their newsletter, you will get updates and email where they have even found a group of 3D cards ideas and put them in one nice grouping for you to view!
There is even a listing of Paper Craft Designer, so if you find one project you like by a designer you can go and check out all of the other projects by that same designer. You can check out my designer page HERE.
Weather you start small or go big, paper crafts allow you to show your personality and be creative!
