Let's Party

Here is a cute birthday card I made using the elephant from Create A Critter 2.  

I started off by folding a piece of yellow cardstock to be the base of the card.  Then I used a sheet of Paper Layerz Paper.  Each sheet of this paper comes with nine 4" squares of coordinating colors on one sheet . . . that way I can just put one sheet of cardstock down on my Cricut mat and have all of the colors to cut the image for my project.  If you do not have Paper Layers, just go through your papers and find the colors you want to use, cut them down to squares and lay them out in a grid pattern on your Cricut mat before you load it into your Cricut.

After I cut the elephant and the words Let's Party I cut some rectangles from the scraps of the paper to add something else to the background.  To finish off . . . a little Viva Decor on the eyes and the end of the tail.
