Card for Using up Scraps

If you are like me, you have LOTS of little scraps laying around your craft room.  We all do it . . . we save those pieces because the paper is so pretty and we just cannot bring ourselves to put it in the trash . . . even if it is a little 2" square . . . we save it!

So here is a quick and easy card you can make to use up some of those scraps!

I started with a plain white card and cut to rectangles from different colors.  I did one in a frame cut to add some variation.  (who knows, you might even have some of these little frames in your stash too!)

Then I cut 10 hexagons from several different scrap pieces of cardstock. I picked scraps that were all in the orange family so that even though the are all very different patterns, they would all go together because of the common color.  You could change this out and do all hearts, circles, snowflakes, leaves . . . just about any small shape that you can get out of the scrap of paper.

For the final touch I added some dots of Viva Decor and the stamped sentiment Make A Wish!
By changing up the sentiment you could make this a baby shower card . . . use blue and pink scraps.
How about a Christmas card, using snowflakes cuts or all of the hexagons in Christmas papers.
Use all primary colored scraps for a young child's birthday card
Or hearts in all different scraps for Valentine's day
This one simple layout could allow you to use your scraps for SO MANY different cards!
