St. Patty's Day is almost here

Last month, for a Valentine's Day treat, I made little purses for my co-workers and filled them with Valentine's Day candies.  They all liked them so much, I decided to do another little treat for St. Patrick's Day.  Here is what I came up with.

I cut the tag image from the George and Basic Shapes Cricut Cartridge from a cream colored paper with a soft green patter all over it.  Over that I layered some shamrocks that I cut from the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut Cartridge . . . the very last page has some really cute border type images.  Then I cut some shamrocks out of the Core'dinations Black Magic cardstock from the Cauldron stack.  I had never tried using this paper before, but it was really fun!  If you would like to give it a try, here is a link to where you can purchase some.
When you look at the paper, it is all black, but at the very top of each page there is a small tab that shows you what the color is underneath the black.  I picked a paper that had a soft green color hidden underneath the black, and once I cut the shamrocks out I used some sandpaper to reveal some of the green around the shamrock.

I added a simple Happy St. Patty's Day message to the tag, and each one of my co-workers will get one of these, along with a few Peppermint Patties . . . it is the only candy I could think of that had the word "patty" in it.
