Combine sewing and scrapbooking

I have seen some news that the new trend in scrapbooking is combining sewing element with your scrapbooking.  Some things would include using adhesive fabrics, or stictched elements on your cards and layouts.

Here are a few examples that I found

I love the button in the center of the flower above.  As someone who loves to sew and scrapbook, I see this as a way to combine two crafts that I love, and use up scraps of fabric or those random buttons that you have left over.

Also, If you have the Cricut Cartridge Simply Sweet, there is a stitched function on that cartridge.  It cuts a circle with the letter you choose in the center, and there is a sewing stitch line around the outside edge of the circle.
