Featured Crafter - Metalpressions.com

Metalpressions.com is the dream business and outlet for Elisha Argentinis' creativity. For as long as Elisha can remember she has been dabbling in all things crafty. The seed for a crafty entrepreneur was planted in her college days with custom designed oil lamps that she sold to local shops. As time went on her horizons expanded into other types of crafts like knitting, stamping and scrapbooking. Around 7 years ago she was introduced into the world of hand stamped and handcrafted keepsake and photo jewelry by a close friend. Her skill and expertise developed quickly as did her passion for making beautiful jewelry. The keen eye she had developed for layout and design with other hobbies translated well into jewelry fabrication and helped to make the learning curve short.

At the time her full time career limited her to practicing her craft as a part time affair or, as her husband likes to describe it, an accelerated hobby. Like many other hand made jewelry designers around the country, the crossover from part time hobby to full time work came when Elisha left her career to raise her children. In her spare moments she somehow found the time to grow her business.

After a little of prodding, she convinced her husband, Andreas, to help with the business by developing a website for her jewelry designs. With a background in internet business systems analysis, web marketing, and a stint in technical manufacturing, he was quick to identify opportunities to help her make and market great products. Together they have created a vision to bring you outstanding crafted hand stamped jewelry, an innovative shopping experience, and exceptional world class customer service. The end goal is to provide jewelry products at the quality, price, and convenience of the big internet jewelry sites but with the hometown feel of your local mom & pop shop.

One of the other unique aspects about Metalpressions.com is their commitment to social responsibility with their business and personal lives. Social responsibility goes beyond recycling and can be involvement in any aspect of life that makes a contribution back to the greater good of society. Although there hasn't been a lot of publicity about their contributions, they plan to promote and communicate to their existing and potential customers their socially responsible activities. These activities already include reducing their waste output (That's in addition to already recycling and using recycled materials), volunteering, fundraising, giving blood regularly, and much more.

Metalpressions.com is constantly working hard to source the best silver, gold, and copper necklaces, bracelets, key chains, earrings, charms, pendants, and gems. At the same time we are always working to improve our process to deliver you a superior product than the competition. We have spent countless hours refining our process of stamping, texturizing, blackening letters, and polishing. There are lots of options for customized & personalized jewelry on the internet and we are confident that our hand stamped jewelry is the best.

Personalize your luggage

Are doing any traveling soon? After I bought my last set of luggage, I wanted to do something to personalize it. If you know me, you know that I LOVE Mickey Mouse, so I decided to personalize my luggage with not only our family name, but Mickey too.

I own the sewing/embroidery machine by Brother that comes with Disney characters pre-programmed into the machine so this project was very easy. The hardest part was that I had to hold the luggage as it was being embroidered otherwise the weight of it pulled on the hoop and the image would have been distorted.

Here is a close up of Mickey.

For your little football fan

I found this cute football nightlight, and I just had to share it with all of you.

It was created by Kryshas Creations . . .here is their bio

Ululani (pronounced oo-loo-lah-nee) is Hawaiian for "Heavenly Inspiration". I firmly believe that all talent, beauty and love comes from God... thus the name seemed fitting for my line of creations. Everything I sell here is made with a joy and love for art, beauty and craftsmanship.

I hope you enjoy these one of a kind artwork.

We hope that you enjoy them as much we do. They are meant for rooms as unique as your child. Thank you for interest, and if you would like to check out some of my other work, please visit my web site at www.KryshasCreations.com

Fall Scrapbook Layout

Today I want to share with you a scrapbook layout that I did for another family. They took some wonderful pictures of the entire family sitting in a pile of fall leaves. It is such a great casual family picture. I accented the pictures with some beautiful fall leaves paper that I found and stickers.

I love the way the papers bring out the autumn colors in the pictures.

Show your support for your favorite team!

Featuring Embellished Bayou! Embellished Bayou is your source for beautiful custom home decor and gifts.

Here is a little about the artist ~

I have always had a love for all things crafty! I often see things for sale in stores and think "I can make that!" I try to take ordinary things and make them extraordinary...I'm always getting inspirations for new crafts. Lately I've been really into vintage jewelry, as you can see by my frames. I love custom orders, so convo me and I'll make a piece just for you!

Let's take a closer look at a few of their products ~

This listing is for one handpainted purple antique 6"x6" tin ceiling tile embellished with rhinestones. "Geaux Tigers" adorns the center of the tin in gold, which is finished off with gold faux rhinestones and a coordinating purple and gold ribbon hanger. Layers of paint give the tin a shabby chic appeal. The overall size measures approximately 14.5" from the top of the ribbon hanger to the bottom of the tin. The perfect gift for the LSU fan in your life! I can also attach another tin below or above this one with an initial, name or phrase for an additional fee, just convo me for details. Or, if you want a tin like the one pictured here in another color, or with any other phrase, name or monogram, I can do that too!! What a special and unique way to personalize your home and adorn your wall or door...not everyone will have this! Great for baseball and football season! Keep in mind, these are antique tins, and each piece is handpainted so imperfections may occur. I think it just adds to the shabby chic nature. I do not waterproof the ribbons in any way so if you hang this on a door, I do suggest a door that is under cover. The tin has been coated with a clear sealer to ensure a durable finish.

It's that time again, football season is here! Show your Tiger pride with this LSU frame! This wood frame has been handpainted purple and "Geaux Tigers" is painted in gold across the bottom and accented with rhinestones. It is embellished at the top with a wide burlap bow layered with sheer tiger print ribbon. A beautiful purple vintage rhinestone earring adorns the center of the bow. The frame is approximately 2" wide at the top and bottom and 1" wide at the sides. It measures 6.5"x7" overall. The opening is for a 3.5"x5" photo. The frame must be displayed horizontally on a tabletop. It has been coated with a clear coat sealer for added protection.Contact me with questions or special needs! Let me create a custom frame just for you to coordinate with your decor. This can be purchased for only $13.50 at
Either of these would make a great addition to the home of any sports fan!

Here is a little something from the creator . . .
I have been making jewelry for about 9 years. Originally, I did mostly beadwork, but that was before it became so popular and everyone started making jewelry. About 3 years ago I took a metalcrafting class and was hooked right away.

My website offers unique handstamped, handcrafted creations. My current most favorite pieces are a U. of Wisconsin college necklace with the students name that can be done for any school. My other favorite is in my Sports Necklace section. It is a Minnesota Viking Necklace!

Fall . . .

Now that we are into September, fall is coming. When I think of fall I think of back to school, leaves falling, cooler days and working on crafts. In my house, since I am not a football fan, the time that other spend watching the game is the time that I go off to the craft store or get some time with no interruptions to work on crafts.

But, I know that there are many crafters who DO like football, and that got me thinking . . . we should share some of our favorite football related crafts with each other. Do you make something with a football theme, or in the colors of a team? If so, let us know so that others can share in your creations. You can post your comments here, or join our Facebook group at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=151198806392&ref=mf

This will also be a great way for us to find items that we can use to support our favorite teams, or gifts for the football lover in our families.

Make sure to tell all of your crafting friends to join us. The more the merrier!
